New England Basset Hound Rescue

In 2001, a group of Basset Hound lovers got together and formed the New England Basset Hound Rescue organization. The group came together with the hopes of helping unwanted, abandon, and homeless Basset Hounds in the New England area. The organization is a non-profit organization, everyone that puts there time into this cause is completely voluntary. None of the individuals are compensated for their time or hard works. They do the job and spend the time saving these Basset Hounds because they want to not because they are getting paid for it.

Along with saving abused Basset Hounds the New England Basset Hound Rescue will also take responsibility of your hound if you feel that you can no longer take care of it. They do this not to encourage people to run from their responsibilities, but so that another dog does not get dumped in the street. When you hand over your pet they will then be fostered out to a family that will evaluate them. You may at the time of the drop off be asked to pay a relinquish fee, this fee will help with the costs of rescuing other dogs.

If you want to help but are not able to donate any time or take in an abused Basset Hound to your own home, then they gladly accept donations of cash. If you would rather have something for your money you are in luck the New England Basset Hound Rescue has merchandise that you can purchase. Any cash donated or spent goes directly to the effort of saving more Basset Hounds from undesirable conditions.
